SecurTech provides industrial-strength coated steel security cables. The wire rope configuration is 7 bundles of 7 strands of steel (7x7). The flexible DL-series cables are 3/16" steel with loops at each end that are clamped with copper under high pressure.
The DL5 double-looped security cable from SecurTech is five feet long. It is designed to work with the SecurTech Spot® Anchor anti-theft system. The recommended padlock to use with the Spot Anchor anti-theft system is model B150.
The DL5 is different from the other cables in the SecurTech "DL" series. The DL5 has a thinner plastic coating. The copper sleeves that form the end-loops are shrink-wrapped with black plastic instead of blue. The end-loops are also somewhat smaller (1" instead of 1.5" long). Otherwise, the same 3/16" steel cable is used as on all DL cables.
